Wire numbers not displayed

#1 Wire numbers not displayed

I am running SkyCAD v1.2.212.27814 and there are numerous wires in my project that do not have the wire number displayed. I am in the process of updating as-built drawings to reflect field modifications during panel commissioning.

The wires that do not have numbers displayed are connections that were just added during the drawing updates (see neutral wires in image). SkyCAD knows the wire numbers because if I double click one of the wires the number is displayed in the SkyCAD Explorer (see image).

If I select one of the wires and press F8 (show connection number) nothing happens.

Normally I would use wire renumbering to fix this but, in this scenario, wires have been added to the panel after factory build. Rennumbering will change the wire number of almost all the wires in the panel that are already labeled.

Is there a way to force SkyCAD to display these wire numbers?

Have you tried 'Flag project as built'?

Thanks for posting on the forum.

SkyCAD has a feature specifically designed for such scenarios.  If you click to select your project from the tree view, you should see the button 'Home/Flag project as built'.  If you activate this button, SkyCAD renumbering process will not renumber existing wires, but only assign new numbers to wires that have been added, and propagate wire numbers where needs be.   (Which is probably the step that needs to go through to display all wire numbers in your case.)

If you want to add some additionnal security, you can also manually freeze all existing wire numbers, but 'Flag project as built' should normally be sufficient.

Let us know if these tools allow you to move forward.
