#1 Wire Number Formats

Some how my wire numbers went from rung number associated to integer. What do I need to do to move from integer wire numbers back to rung referenced wire numbers?

Did the coordinates on the sheet change too?

Thanks for posting on the forum.

Did the coordinates on the sheet change too (from rung numbers to alphanumeric)?

Please let us know.

The coordinates on the sheet

The coordinates on the sheet are the same. Four digits starting with a 0 and then the page number. IE, page 7, first rung 0700.

Hmmm...

In that case, please upload a zip of your Standard Environment folder. This tutorial about backing up your environment folder will indicate exactly which folder we are talking about. (Note: only you and the SkyCAD staff will have access to your environment. All other users won't even be able to see the file.).

Please also let us know which project and wires to look at.

We'll be able to check this out as soon as we get your environment.

Wire Numbers

I am drawing a set of Japanese drawings to English and I need to use their original wire numbers.  I had put them in on a rather large VFD drive and I marked them as Frozen.  When I ran the wire numbering it wrote over them with the standard numbers.  How do I keep this from happening so I don't have to go back and put them all back in?

This should not have happened. How did you freeze the wire numbers?

Regardless, if you haven't changed all the wire numbers back again yet, you may want to use the Time Machine to restore a backup of the project to a point before you ran Renumber Wires. That may save you time.

How do I keep this from happening so I don't have to go back and put them all back in?
Select the project in the tree view, go to the Home tab and select Flag project as 'built'.
This will prevent renumbering processes from renumbering anything that already has a number.

Please let us know if this helps.

Hi Jeff,

Hi Jeff,

Did you have a chance to look into the environment that I exported and sent to you? m

Where did you upload your environment to?

Where did you upload your environment to? We don't see it.
