#1 Relocate SkyCad Drawings

I am working on several projects at the same time. Normally I use a folder system to manage all the dynamics and files for each project. What is the best process for saving a SkyCad drawing in a different folder other than the default one.

I also have drawings that need to be moved from the default folder to a network share project folder as well.

We hope this helps

Thanks for posting on the forum.

There is no special process for moving SkyCAD project files. Just use Windows to move the project files where you want them. You can find your project files here:

"C:\SkyCAD Environments\Standard Environment\Catalogue\root class\work field classes\Project"

It would be safer to close SkyCAD before moving your project files though.

There is no way to set a new default folder, however, when saving a new project for the first time, use the Save As button instead of the Save button. This will open a dialog box where you can navigate to the folder you want to save that particular project in.

Please let us know if this helps.
