#1 PLC IO layout

Hi,

I have an issue with how SkyCAD behave with PLC card layouts.  See, I got these Phoenix Contact Remote I/O card that unlike most card I've seen until now, they don't stack right next to each other, they slide into a base, and that base is stacked next to each other.

My issue is that SkyCAD will by default just stack the card one after each other (see the last picture).  Is there a way to manually move them over the base where they slide into it ?

Thanks,

Regards,

Here are the parts number and layout (made with the phoenix software) for the Phoenix Contact parts below if you want to understand how it work:

You'll hae to lay them out manually.

Thanks for posting on the forum.

When the automatic generation of sub-parts' layouts does not correspond to the way things are layed out in real life, you have no other choice but to disable the feature for that particular part's layout, and place the modules manually one by one.

To disable to auto-generation of sub-layout parts:

- Open the part from the catalogue tools tab

- Click 'Show/Layouts'

- Expand the properties of the layout item displayed in the tree view

- Delete the value entered in the 'Expand query' property.

- Close and save the part.

From that point on, modules will need to be inserted one by one either in the panel layout as any other elements, or on the coupler's layout directly.

Let us know if this works out.

Works perfectly

It works perfectly, thanks.  It's exactly what I wanted to do.

Regards,

Great!

Glad to know it worked out!

Thanks for taking the time to let us know.
