#1 Link Terminal strips from different pages

Good evening,

I have several terminal strips declared in different pages of a project (a panel on a machine in ground level and a panel on the roof of a building) , and would like to make a page for the milticore wire connection between them. However, I cannot seem to use the terminals on morethan 1 page.

I was hoping to do something like this (https://my.skycad.ca/forums/all-tutorials/inserting-multicore-cables) but spread on different pages, or even a harness linking the 2 (or more) terminal strips involved.

Is it possible?  Or should it be done some other way?

Kind regards,

There are a couple different options

Thanks for posting on the forum.

There are a couple different options:

  • You could simply use the cable's wire list, which shows where each wire in the cable is connected (see this tutorial at 4:20). The cable's wire list template can be modified to include extra columns with extra information if you want.
  • The cabling information could be shown as text on the terminal strip layout views, similar to what is shown in this forum post

This is possible using OPRs, instead of using cable indicator symbols.

or even a harness linking the 2 (or more) terminal strips involved.
This is not possible as shown in your "Sheet 3" image.

Please let us know if this helps.
