#1 Fuse Holder vs Termminal Fuse Holder

Regarding a fuse holder vs a fuse terminal. If I use the following fuse holder I can assign a fuse to it and all is good other than it does not offer any terminal characteristics:

If I use a terminal fuse holder I have the terminal characteristics but I can't seem to assign a fuse to it. When selected, it's Class Name is Termnal rather than fuse holder.

Thoughts? Thanks

You can still add a fuse to it.

Thanks for posting on the forum.

Indeed it is classified as a terminal, but you can still add a fuse to it.  Simply double click on the symbol, and reach the 'Create/Add' tab where you'll see the 'New fuse' button.

Additionnally, the terminal strip layout will show a 'F' on the terminal that carries a fuse.

Let us know if this works out.

Well...

When I click on it should I be seeing a field for fuse size?

Indeed a terminal does not have a 'Fuse size' property.

Do you need that property to show in a fuse list, or you need it to help you select a compatible fuse while desiging?

I'd like it to show up on the

I'd like it to show up on the final drawing for construction and documentation purposes. m

You can add a query to the symbol.

Would adding an attribute on the symbol with a query showing the fuse size of the fuse work out for you?

Something like this?

Yes. Fuse size and type.

Replace the fie in your environment.

We added the attribute to the terminal symbol ourselves and attached the symbol file to this reply.

Simply copy it in the following folder:

<your SkyCAD Environments folder>\Standard Environment\Catalogue\root class\SkyCad specific Classes\Graphical Element\graphical object\graphical block\work block\Graphical terminal junction\

You'll notice there is already an file with the same name.  Overwrite it.

Than start SkyCAD again and the Size and Type of fuses added to terminals associated to this symbol will show.

Let us know if it works out.

You're welcome, but to be honest you got a bit lucky; it would be wise not to expect such a quick response time every weekend!
