#1 Draw connections on top of a component?

I noticed I created this second block and I am having a hard time getting the connection to draw on the bottom terminals to the actual connection points.

The difference in these two blocks are that the bottom one has a fill rectangle behind the connection points to cover some of the part image.

I assume maybe the connection is drawing underneath the component instead of on top of it, regardless of layering settings I use in the drawing tools.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

The other question related to

The other question related to this screenshot above is that I would like to add "PLC1-" as a prefix to the red work tag above the component. I am having trouble with the query for this. I have tried:

<r:Parent.Parent.Tag>-<r:Parent.ReferenceDesignator>

Indeed.

Thanks for posting on the forum.

Indeed.  Connections are drawn 'under' everything.  There is no way to make connections show other than to make sure that portion of your block is transparent.

If you reach the PLC to which your power supply/module belong to and expand it's properties, you'll notice a check box property named 'Show WorkID value on sub-parts'.  Just check it and you should get the result yuo are after without changing the query on the text attribute.

Let us know if all this works out.

Thank you for the confidence

Thank you for the confidence in how connections draw.

The property you mentioned works great! Thank you!

Great!

Glad to know the checkbox property worked out for you.  Thanks for taking the time to let us know.
